?
We all know the Pledge of Allegiance and its famous phrase, ?One nation, under God, Indivisible.?
?
We have always accepted the fact that we are one American people.? That is a given.? We have our political disagreements but when the legislature or the Congress speaks, or sometimes the courts, that is the end of it.?
?
Americans do not engage in violence against the other side.? We don?t engage in violence against our legislators.? At least we didn?t until recently.
?
But now we are seeing something very disturbing in politics and it does not bode well for America.
?
What is it?
?
In Texas, Governor Rick Perry called for a special session of the Texas Legislature to consider a bill that outlawed abortion after twenty weeks.?? This bill had been filibustered at the end of the last legislative session by Texas state senator Wendy Davis and disruptions by pro-abortion radicals in the gallery.? Time ran out on the legislative session, so Governor Perry called another one.
?
This time, with enough time on the clock, the measure easily passed.
?
The fact that the people had spoke did not set well with the radical pro-abortion demonstrators.?? They knew what the final legislative vote would be so they decided if they could not win the vote, they would disrupt the proceedings so no vote could happen.
?
The plan was demonstrators were going to smuggle in jars of urine, feces, paint, as well as other objects, including reportedly at least one brick, and throw them at legislators.?
?
This is was not the first attempt at violence by the left in the abortion battle in Texas.? Pro-life legislators were stalked, threatened and in one case, the radical abortion demonstrators trapped one in a bathroom.
?
Leftist activists have called for violence against pro-life legislators, including one woman who tweeted she could shoot David Dewhurst the Lieutenant Governor and supporter of the bill, and use the ?Stand your ground? defense.
?
Other radicals called for pro-life legislators or their daughters to be raped.
?
Why are the pro-abortionists so unhinged?
?
Some of them are simply being paid to be.? Craigslist advertised positions for full time activists to be paid between $1300 to $2200 a month to engage in activities for the abortion industry.
?
Unfortunately, there is more here than just that.? There is a breakdown in politics and civil society in America that the left is encouraging.? It is not just abortion.? We have seen in the George Zimmerman case calls from leftists for violence directed against Zimmerman and others if the verdict they want is not obtained.
?
Recently a video appeared on a number of conservative news sites showing a street preacher being attacked and beaten at a gay pride parade in Seattle.? While the man who landed the blows acted alone, the crowd that surrounded the preacher verbally attacked him and was clearly supportive of the attacker.??? Just yesterday, several conservative sites showed a video of radical leftists in Wisconsin harassing and trying to provoke a confrontation with miners. In cities on the west coast, anarchists with the Occupy movement have routinely gone through the city streets of places like Oakland, rampaging and destroying property.
?
These incidents are not isolated.? They are becoming the norm.
?
That does not bode well for America?s future.
?
In Europe, leftist protests routinely turn violent with the Molotov cocktail being the preferred weapon of the left.? We don?t see that in America.
?
Yet.
?
With the rising, violent radicalism of the left, it is only a matter of time before we start seeing serious violence accompanying left wing protest and we start seeing serious injuries or deaths.?
